Gamblers, gangsters, showgirls and a strait-laced missionary took the Newman Center stage as the University of Denver’s Lamont Opera Theatre and the Lamont Symphony Orchestra presented Frank Loesser’s Broadway classic GUYS & DOLLS.  Performances were in the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts November 5 through 8.

Frank Loesser’s brassy American musical celebrates the golden age of Broadway with “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,” and “I’ve Never Been In Love Before,” performed by Damon Runyon’s unforgettable characters – Nathan Detroit, Sky Masterson, Miss Adelaide and Sarah Brown.

The Director of GUYS & DOLLS is Kenneth Cox and the Lamont Symphony Orchestra is conducted by S. Mordecai Fuhrman.
